Pride Skills Centre

The Canterbury United Pride Skill Centre provides a regional hub for talent development. The Skill Centre focuses on solely establishing and developing key football habits with sessions specifically designed to affect all areas of the player’s development in a positive way.

Starting with players at ages 9, 10, 11 & 12, the Skill Centre complements existing club and school football programmes by adding focused training hours with specialist coaching for players, offering a unique set of advantages:

  • A programme to systematically develop the individual player
  • Consistent national curriculum to prepare players to cope with the modern game
  • Coaches who are specifically trained and experienced in developing talented junior & youth players
  • Players’ progress continually assessed
  • Weekly training sessions and an extended programme of development throughout the year
  • A clear pathway into Canterbury United Pride Development & Youth Programmes.

The Skill Centre has been modelled on successful talent development programmes around the world.
